Northbay Sessions

An events production company working with companies that need the work finished, documented and handed over — not restarted every time a supplier changes.

Talk to us

What we do

Four things, done properly

Production and staging

Sound, light, power and rigging specified for the venue, not copied from the last job.

Site and safety

Capacity, access and licensing handled before tickets go on sale, with the paperwork filed.

Front of house

Box office, stewarding and load-in schedules, run by people who have done the shift.

Programme booking

Building a line-up that fits the room and the budget, and holding the dates in writing.

How we work

Short cycles, written down

Step 1

Brief

One conversation about the room, the date, the audience and the ceiling on spend.

Step 2

Plan on paper

Running order, technical rider and a costed schedule, signed before anything is booked.

Step 3

Show day

We are on site from load-in to load-out, and the de-brief is written the same week.

About

Who you would be working with

Northbay Sessions is a small production team that has run rooms from eighty seats to open-air. We keep the team small on purpose: the people who scope the work are the people who do it.

Questions

Answers before you ask

How far ahead should we book?
Twelve weeks for a full production; four is possible for a single act in a room we already know.
Do you provide the equipment?
We specify it and hire it in. Owning a warehouse would make us recommend what we own.
What happens if an act cancels?
The contract carries a replacement clause and we hold a shortlist from the planning stage.
Do you work outside the region?
Yes, when the schedule allows a site visit first. We do not take a room we have not stood in.
